All Transport Platforms advocate for Transport Research in FP10

Our partner, ERTRAC, along with other European Technology Platforms — ACARE, ALICE, ERRAC and Waterborne — have adopted the attached joint position paper advocating for Transport Research in the next EU Framework Programme for Research (FP10).

The joint position stresses the need for the EU institutions and Member States to maintain a strong dedicated budget for transport applications, which have a direct impact on the lives of European citizens and are the backbone of the European economy. Advanced collaborative Research and Innovation in transport will accelerate the achievement of the twin Green and digital transition, and help make Europe independent and self-sufficient.

Together, the signatories call for highlighting Transport Research in FP10 because transport is fundamental for Europe’s competitiveness, and it is of utmost importance to deliver affordable, safe, and sustainable mobility for European citizens.
