2Zero @ Civitas Forum 2024
Yesterday was an important day for the 2Zero partnership, highlighting the importance of collaboration in research as being key to moving forward with sustainable urban mobility.
For the first time, we had the chance to meet with our colleagues from CCAM and the DUT partnerships during the Civitas Forum 2024, which was organised in Parma.
Ensuring sustainable transitions in cities and urban areas is a challenge, and the 2Zero partnership can contribute in many ways. This includes developing new technologies to offer cleaner vehicles (such as 2-wheelers, passenger cars, buses, and delivery vehicles) and creating new concepts, solutions, and services for the mobility of people and goods through our funded projects, as highlighted by our Director, Lucie Beaumel, in her presentation.
The lively discussion served as an additional opportunity to emphasise the importance of our activities related to circularity and the system approach promoted by the 2Zero partnership. We also discussed the need to address topics such as recharging infrastructure deployment and related services with all stakeholders (TSO, DSO, users, OEMs, public authorities, etc.). To truly tackle the challenges ahead, we need to work together in a coordinated way.
