2023 Info Day – 2024 calls scope & outcomes
On October 17, 2023, the European Commission organised its 2023 Info Day, uniting innovators and researchers active in the area of climate, energy, and mobility. This event, part of the Horizon Europe Cluster 5 aimed at presenting the research and innovation funding opportunities to drive the path toward Europe’s goal of climate neutrality by 2050.
The 2Zero Partnership, through its European Commission representatives – Guido Sacchetto and Maurizio Maggiore, both from DG for Research and Innovation, presented the scope and expected outcomes of the upcoming 2024 calls:
HORIZON-CL5-2024-D5-01-01: Smart, low-cost pervasive stationary slow charging and bi-directional solutions synergic with the grid for EV mass deployment
HORIZON-CL5-2024-D5-01-02: Integration and testing of next generation post-800V electric powertrains
HORIZON-CL5-2024-D5-01-03: Advanced battery system integration for next generation vehicles
HORIZON-CL5-2024-D5-01-04: Integrated flexible multipoint megawatt charging systems for electric truck mass deployment
HORIZON-CL5-2024-D5-01-05: Advanced digital development tools to accelerate the development of software defined vehicles that enable zero-emission mobility
HORIZON-CL5-2024-D5-01-06: New designs, shapes, functionalities of Light Commercial Vehicles
HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-13: EU Member States/Associated countries research policy cooperation network to accelerate zero-emission road mobility (2ZERO Partnership)
A total of 77 Million euros will be made available for the 2Zero topics in 2024.

In tandem with the Info Day, the GREENET Brokerage Event on providing an avenue for networking and consortium-building activities. Through bilateral meetings organised by specific topics, participants could connect with like-minded individuals and present their project ideas or entity profiles, facilitating potential collaborations in climate, energy, and mobility.
