EGVIAfor2Zero visited Slovakia.

Continuing on the successful events organised in the past few years, the EGVIAfor2Zero board (Stephan Neugebauer (BMW Group), Jean-Luc di Paola Galloni (Valeo), Horst Pfluegl (AVL List), Uroš Salobir (ELES)) visited stakeholders in Slovakia. This country plays a crucial role in the automotive industry, as it is the world’s leading car producer per capita!
Research and innovation should not be overlooked! Continuous investment in R&I is essential to stay at the forefront and represents a strategic decision.

We were pleased to learn more about the Slovakian position on FP10 from Tomáš Tabiš, from the International Cooperation and European Affairs Section, Ministry of Education, Research, Development, and Youth of the Slovak Republic.
Lubos Buzna, our SRG representative, and his colleague Yannick Cornet presented the diverse portfolio of activities undertaken at the University of Zilina.
We also had the chance to learn more about ongoing activities from various local stakeholders: CEMEA – Centre for advanced materials application Slovak Academy of Science, NVAS – Slovak National Hydrogen Association (Národná vodíková asociácia Slovenska), Voltia, bAvenir s.r.o., Slovak Technical University (Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave).

With our partners CCAM Association and BATT4EU (BEPA – Batteries European Partnership Association), we discussed how to improve the participation of Slovakian stakeholders in our activities. There are various ways to get involved with our association, from subscribing to our newsletter to becoming a member.
